MILWAUKEE (CBS58) — The Greenfield Police Department says officers pursued a stolen car on Wednesday, Oct. 9, and did a high-risk stop on 74th and Barnard.
Police say a woman and a 1-year-old got out of the stolen car and initially blocked officers but gave up.
A 25-year-old man jumped in the driver's seat and headed north on the freeway. Police say he smashed into a car with a woman and two children inside, and then that car hit another car with one person inside. That person was not injured.
Police say the woman and the two children were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect and the woman who stole the car with him were arrested.
According to Greenfield police, while this is not the full list of charges, the man will be charged with Operating without Owner's Consent, Recklessly Endangering Safety, Flee/Elude a Traffic Officer, and Operating with a Revoked License - Causing Injury.
The names of the two arrested are not being released at this time.
