MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Greenfield Police Department says officers pursued a stolen car on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and did a high risk stop.

It happened on I-43 northbound, near Milwaukee.

Police say a woman and a 1-year-old got out of the car and initially blocked officers but gave up.

A 25-year-old man jumped in the car and headed north on the freeway. Police say he smashed into a car with a woman and two children inside, then that car hit another car with one-person inside. That person was not injured.

Police say the woman and the two children were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was arrested, and charges will be referred for him and the woman in the stolen car with him.
