GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Greenfield Police Officer went above and beyond to help a mother in need.
She couldn't take her son to school and was worried about him having to ride his bike down a busy street.
"I told her we weren't busy this morning so I told her that I would just drive him to school," said Bradley Vajgert with the Greenfield Police Department.
He picked up the 10-year-old in his cruiser so his mother wouldn't have to worry.
Vajgert says the mother was so appreciative that she made him breakfast.
Vajgert says there's more to being a police officer than just catching the bad guys.
"It's a lot of what we do every day. I'm sure there's other officers out there that do this stuff all the time but it's just another part of the job."
