Officers stopped the 17-year-old in the 3600 block of E. Howard Avenue for speeding.

The teen told officers that she was speeding because she was supposed to be watching her 8-year-old and 14-year-old brothers and that one of them had fallen.

The officer contacted Greenfield Police to respond to the home to check the welfare of the two boys.

The teen then admitted she was lying to get out of a speeding ticket, police say.
