Gunfire exchange during attempted car theft in Glendale, 4 arrested

GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Four people are in custody after an exchange of gunfire during an attempted vehicle theft in Glendale early Monday, Aug. 3, according to Glendale police.

Officers were called to the area of Sidney and Green Tree at around 1:47 a.m. for reports of armed subjects attempting to steal a vehicle, police say. As officers arrived, gunfire was reportedly exchanged between subjects.

One person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Those in custody include a 33-year-old man from Glendale, a 29-year-old woman from Glendale, and two 17-year-olds, one from Milwaukee and one from Sheboygan. Police say there is no further risk to the public related to the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
