Hank Williams Jr. to perform at Wisconsin State Fair Aug. 15

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin State Fair officials announced Thursday, May 13, country legend Hank Williams Jr. will round out the Main Stage on Sunday, Aug. 15 at 6:00 p.m.

According to a news release, Hank Williams Jr. is a five-time “Country Music Entertainer of the Year” winner and has released 40 albums in his career. Williams’ fan-favorites include “Family Tradition,” “Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound,” “Dinosaur,” and “Outlaw Women.” The Grammy® award-winning artist has had an incredible career making himself a country music icon.

Alex Miller will open the show. With a voice like Merle Haggard, the 17-year-old immediately grabs your attention. Fueled by a passion for traditional country music, Alex writes and records original songs while wowing crowds with impressive covers. He's humble, hardworking, and kind with a singular goal in mind: play his music for people to enjoy.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 20 at 9:00 a.m. at WiStateFair.com. All seating for this show is reserved, and tickets will be $52 and $57. Each concert ticket includes admission to the 2021 Wisconsin State Fair for the day of the show when purchased in advance.
