Hundreds of Kids Celebrate Earth Day at South Shore Pavilion

Hundreds of kids are celebrating Earth Week on Tuesday by making our home a more beautiful place to live.

About 450 students from seven local schools gathered at South Shore Park Pavilion.

They are learning about good environmental practices.

Earth Day was founded by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 as a day to support environmental protection.  The concept quickly went worldwide.
