MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--This is the time to expand your taste buds and mind all at the same time.  It's the inaugural Asian Restaurant Week, running through May 22nd throughout the Milwaukee area.  This is the perfect occasion to try that Chinese, Korean, or Taiwanese establishment you've been meaning to sample. Ono Kine Grindz in Wauwatosa is on the list, at least for me. Its influence is Hawaiian.

The event falls in the middle of "American Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month."  The group "ElevAsian" came up with the idea to help support a community and culture hit hard by the pandemic.  And at a time when physical attacks on Asians have sharply increased in just this year alone.
