HARTLAND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Journey21, a group serving young adults with developmental disabilities, was spreading some love in Hartland on Valentine's Day.
They hosted a holiday mixer for neurodivergent people at Inclusion Coffee Company. The party had everything from pizza and dancing to games and crafting.
Organizers of the event say it gives people in attendance a sense of independence and community.
"Journey21, we wanted to collaborate on something. A lot of their participants are our staff members, so we share it in that way, and we thought: why don't we throw something together?" Said Mackenzie Eding, owner of Inclusion Coffee Company.
Journey21 offers all kinds of programs for its members. Some that teach skills like cooking, others that are for fun, like last night's party.
