5:00 PM  The SPC has issued a tornado watch for our southern counties until 11:00 pm.  Storms have blown up across western Wisconsin and will move east over the next several hours.  This doesn't include our northern counties at this point.

The storms will be rolling into a favorable environment this evening.  Expect storms to move into our western areas between 7 pm and 8 pm.  Storms will move closer to the lakefront between 9 pm and 10 pm.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--A lingering area of low pressure in the area will keep the showers and storms going this Friday.  It won't be all day but periodically. Then we sit and wait for a cold front to move through the area Saturday evening.  This means more on and off again showers and storms.  Rain chances are hard to pinpoint.  It all depends where the storms set up.  An inch or so could fall in localized areas.  Watch for any ponding. It's a slight risk of severe weather for the southern tier of the viewing area.  Damaging winds, heavy rain, and hail are all possible.  It's a marginal risk for everyone else.  We keep the marginal risk for all areas on Saturday.

We finally clear out for the second part of the weekend.  More storm chances come to us by the middle of next week.  Highs most of this coming week will be in the 80s.  Lows in the 60s to low 70s.  Typical July stuff.  Just like it should be.

On another note.  Our days are starting to get shorter.  Our last 8:30 PM sunset will be on Saturday.  We still have at least 15 hours of daylight.  We won't have pre-8 PM sunsets until mid August. So about another month.
