Judge grants competency hearing for man charged in fatal Mount Pleasant salon shooting

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A quick court appearance took place Wednesday, Sept. 8, for the former salon employee charged with killing a customer last month.

Thirty-three-year-old Tamir Williams is accused of fatally shooting a customer outside Angel's Beauty Salon in Mount Pleasant.

According to the criminal complaint, the situation stemmed from the customer allegedly not paying for a haircut, which led to an argument.

In court Wednesday, Williams' attorney requested a competency hearing, which the judge granted.

That hearing is scheduled for Oct. 5.
