CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In Milwaukee County Tuesday, the jury trial began and ended for a security guard who shot and killed a shoplifter.
Police say 58-year-old William Pinkins shot 29-year-old Isaiah Allen back in 2023 after the victim tried to steal snack cakes from a gas station.
The trial was delayed last month after the judge requested a doctor's evaluation for Pinkins.
Tuesday afternoon, the jury found Pinkins did not have a mental disease or defect at the time of the crime.
The jury also found Pinkins guilty of the charges of first degree intentional homicide and possessing a weapon after being convicted of a felony.
His sentencing is scheduled for April 30.
