WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- This Mission started after the passing of Kai Lermer after having a heart attack while playing basketball, he was 16 years old.
The fourth annual EKG testing took place on Wednesday, Aug. 9, encouraging young people to have their heart checked. Hundreds of students put their health first and received checkups at 1721 Northview Road in Waukesha. The Kai11 Save-A-Heart Mission partnered with HeartSmartEKG had close to 500 students register for screenings.
