Kenosha PD: Shooting leaves woman and unborn child dead, suspect identified

Update on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 8:42 p.m.:

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha Police Department has identified 25-year-old Lawrence G. Franklin Jr as the suspect in the homicide. Lawerence is around 5'3 and about 105 lbs. According to Kenosha PD, he knows that he is wanted by police. He is considered armed and dangerous.

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Friday, Sept. 6.

It happened around 4:28 p.m. 

Police say they arrived at the scene to find a woman in a car that was resting against a concrete pillar of the viaduct located at 65th and 13th. The woman in the car appeared to have been shot. 

Kenosha fire responded and transported the woman to a local hospital. 

Police say they were on scene for several hours collecting evidence. 

According to the Kenosha Police Department, a 22-year-old female and her unborn child died as a result of the shooting.
