MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Megan O'Shea of the Milwaukee County Zoo joined us Thursday, Sept. 10 to preview some of the zoo's upcoming fall events and also to introduce two new Humboldt penguin chicks now on view in the Penguins of the Pacific habitat.

The chicks, both male, are named Pike and Marlin. Pike hatched April 16 and has a blue band on his right wing, while Marlin hatched April 29 and has an orange band.

Throughout September and October, the zoo's goat yard is open daily in September and on weekends in October, offering free entry to visit the Nigerian dwarf goats. Weekend "Animals in Action" fun at the zoo features talks and feeding demonstrations across the grounds.

Upcoming days to mark on the calendar include a Milwaukee County discount admission day on Sept. 20, a Family Free Day on Oct. 3 and the last day for the Powerful Pollinators exhibit Oct. 4.

Also, Boo at the Zoo runs the weekends of Oct. 16-17 and Oct. 23-24, with a new Saturday daytime option added this year, followed by the adults-only Spooky Safari on Oct. 22. A second Family Free Day is set for Nov. 7.
