Kohl's donates $100,000 to help build new splash pad at Village Park in Menomonee Falls

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kohl’s announced Monday, March 14, a $100,000 donation to Village Park to help build a new splash pad in Menomonee Falls.

According to a news release, the splash pad -- which will feature fountains and LED lights -- is part of Village Park’s Phase II redesign which will create the village’s first destination all-inclusive play area that brings together children and families of all ages and abilities.

Other amenities featured in the in the nearly three acre redesign include:

•Renovated tennis courts

•Dedicated pickleball courts

•Updated trails, parking, outdoor lighting, and seating areas

“We are grateful for Kohl’s leadership and commitment to their hometown community. Village Park is on track to be one of most celebrated public spaces in Menomonee Falls and the region,” said Mark Fitzgerald, Village Manager of Menomonee Falls.

“We are excited to partner with the Village to support its first, all-inclusive play area,” said Tara Geiter, Kohl’s Director of Community Relations. “Kohl's is committed to supporting family health and wellness, so we are thrilled to donate this Splash Pad. We hope many families come and enjoy Village Park together.”

Kohl's says the donation showcases the company's commitment to support family health and wellness in its hometown and marks the first major gift for the “Discover Village Park” capital campaign.
