LA CROSSE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kwik Trip announced a new electric vehicle charging program at select stores across the Midwest. CEO Scott Zietlow detailed the Kwik Charge initiative in a press release on Monday, Sept. 30.

"At Kwik Trip our goal is to take care of all our guests," Zietlow said. "We are pleased to offer the Kwik Charge program to our guests who drive EVs. They will not only be able to charge their vehicle but can take advantage of all our quality offerings inside our stores."

The Kwik Charge program will provide direct current fast chargers offering a minimum of 150 kW per dispenser when four vehicles are plugged in, or up to 400 kW for a single vehicle. The chargers will support both Combined Charging Standard and North American Charging Standard connectors.

A mobile application will enable users to view charger availability, pricing and locations along their route. Updates about the program will be made available by visiting Kwik Trip's website.
