Lake Express Ferry giving away round-trip tickets in exchange for bicycles

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Lake Express Ferry is offering free round-trip tickets to the first 500 people to donate bicycles. 

On Friday, April 28 from 8 a.m. to noon, folks can head to the Lake Express Terminal, located at 2330 S. Lincoln Memorial Drive, with a gently used bicycle and receive a complimentary round-trip passenger ticket for the ferry ($187 value). 

The donated bikes will be distributed as part of the annual Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers Bike Day, set for Jun 17 at Kosciuszko Park. 

Lake Express has collected more than 5,000 bikes that have been distributed through organizations in Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago and internationally. 

Donors should note there is a limit of one certificate per household.
