MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lakefront Brewery is set to host a puppy supply drive on its patio this Sunday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in collaboration with JR’s Pups-N-Stuff, a Wauwatosa-based dog rescue.

A Tuesday, Sept. 3 press release about the event notes that the goal is to gather essential supplies for the nonprofit, which has found homes for more than 10,000 dogs over 15 years.

"When we launched our Ripple Effect donation program last year, we asked our staff what organizations they would like to partner with in the community, which put JR's Pups-N-Stuff on the top of our list from the beginning," said Liz Mauritz, Lakefront’s donation coordinator.

"There will definitely be adoptable dogs and maybe even some kittens," added Mauritz.

Donors can receive a free beer for contributing new or gently used supplies and a chance to spin JR’s prize wheel with a $5 donation or more.

JR’s Pups-N-Stuff says they are most in need of items such as adult dog food, puppy food, cat and kitten food, treats, zip ties, puppy toys, Frontline for dogs and puppies for flea/tick care, puppy collars, garbage bags, paper towels, disinfectant cleaner, poop bags, gift cards, cash and more.

Additional information can be found by visiting Lakefront Brewery online. Folks who cannot attend the supply drive but still want to help the causes can donate to JR's Pups-N-Stuff directly by clicking here.
