Lambeau Field's cold storage units give extra space for Feeding America

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Feeding America will start using Lambeau Field's cold storage units to help keep its food fresh.

The hunger relief organization needs help due to high demand because of the pandemic. Food was delivered to the facility Monday, Dec. 14.

The Green Bay Packers and its vendor -- Delaware North -- agreed to help Feeding America during this difficult time.

"This time of the year when people are in need what better cause could you go after than and we just wanted to make ourselves available to it," said Charlie Millerwise, Packers director of development and hospitality.

Lambeau Field would usually be stocked with food for 80,000 fans for the next Packers game, but since fans are not allowed, the stadium had room to support Feeding America.
