MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Outside, Var Gallery in Walker's Point looks like a small space to explore art. But inside, it holds a space full of imagination and twists and turns. FuzzPop Workshop is hosting a pop-up called Deep Lake Future. You have until July to visit the immersive exhibit.

"Invasive species have overrun the ecosystem. The Great Lakes have flooded nearby cities -- Milwaukee," describes Daniel Murray, the creative director of FuzzPop Workshop.

Murray grew up in the Milwaukee area and after moving away to study theater at UCLA, he's back to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to his hometown.

"I grew up loving things like Disney World, where you're really just transported to another time and place that are fantastical and imaginative and creative," he said.

As you walk through, imagine you're part of the research team and follow the glow to survive. While you only have until July to visit this space, Murray wants to turn FuzzPop into a permanent fixture in Milwaukee.

"We've really thought about Deep Lake Future as a pilot, as a prototype, a first crack of this team of about 30 amazing local artists," he said.

This will take you deep into the lake, but coming soon, these artists plan to explore other regional and local spaces in their imagination, like cornfields.
