A boost in temperatures despite the lack of sunshine
It was a sunny but chilly day across southeast Wisconsin with most of the area not reaching the freezing mark.
Clouds will be on the increase tonight with overcast skies expected all day Saturday. Temps will be a few degrees warmer than today, topping out in the mid 30s.
Light snow will overspread SE WI around and after midnight Saturday night, becoming widespread by Sunday morning.
The widespread morning snow will taper to spotty snow showers in the afternoon and flurries by sunset.
Current snow forecast is between 1-2" of snow for most of southeast Wisconsin. Most of the accumulation will occur before noon Sunday.
If you're traveling on Sunday, be mindful that roads may be slippery with low visibility at times. Temps will be near to above freezing Sunday afternoon which will help melt snow on the roads.
Wind will become very gusty behind this system Sunday night into Monday with gusts around 30 mph. That combined with temps struggling to reach 30° will make it feel like 5° to 15° most of the day.
