LOCATED: Madison police searching for woman who walked away from American Family Children's Hospital

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- University of Wisconsin Maison police say 48-year-old Chandra Johnson was located safe on Sunday, Feb. 28.

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- University of Wisconsin Madison police are asking for the public's help to locate a missing and endangered woman from Rockford, Illinois. Officials say 48-year-old Chandra Johnson was last seen leaving the American Family Children's Hospital on foot in Madison on Feb. 23 around 12:15 p.m.

Police say Johnson is without her vehicle and she left a phone at the hospital. 

Authorities say Johnson is not familiar with the Madison area and has been diagnosed with diabetes and bipolar disorder with non-violent paranoid tendencies. 

Johnson is described by officials as a white female, standing 5'7" tall, weighing 207 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has a scar on her right forearm and a tattoo on her chest.
