Our coldest morning of the season so far has lived up to expectations as wind chills are sitting between -15° and -25° early this morning.
Wind chills will remain at this level through mid-morning. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect through 10am.
Wind chills will remain below zero all day long today but will improve somewhat this afternoon as the strong winds lighten up a bit. That being said, high temps only reach the lower teens today.
Friday will start out cold with temps in the single digits, but the wind will be calm so there won't be much added chill factor. Temperatures on Friday will rise the entire day, spending the morning in the teens, afternoon in the mid 20s, and late evening in the upper 20s. Temps continue to warm into the 40s this weekend thanks to sustained southerly winds.
The arrival of our next system has slowed down a few hours. Most of the daylight hours will likely be dry on Saturday with light showers developing closer to or after sunset.
Rain will become widespread Saturday evening and taper off early Sunday morning. With temps staying above freezing, this will be a rain event.
Additional rain is expected early next week. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to see if any more arctic air is on the horizon.
