Man sentenced to 30 years for armed sexual assault months after release from prison

MCSO

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday for a series of crimes, including the sexual assault of a woman who attended his church

Thirty-four-year-old Terrance Williams Jr. pleaded guilty to and was convicted of first-degree sexual assault, burglary, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. Records show six other charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal.

Prosecutors say Williams broke into a woman's home in July of 2025, assaulted her at gunpoint and stole her car just four months after he was released from prison for a similar crime.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman returned to her home to find Williams inside. He allegedly pointed her own handgun at her and sexually assaulted her. She reported that he choked her, wrapped a belt around her neck and wrist and threatened to kill her.

During an interview with investigators, Williams admitted to breaking in, using the weapon, assaulting the woman and taking her vehicle. He said the acts were committed "essentially out of pain of rejection."

Williams was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2016 for inviting a woman into his home under false pretenses and sexually assaulting her as she tried to leave.

Court records show his sentence will be followed by a maximum of 20 years extended supervision.
