MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A 21-year-old man is hurt after being shot near 50^th and Hope in Milwaukee.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Monday. According to Milwaukee Police, the victim said he and a friend were sitting in a parked car when an unknown person walked up to the car, displayed a gun and attempted to rob them. The victim drove off and the suspect fired several gunshots at the car.

The driver lost control of the car and collided with a parked car.

Authorities say the victim is expected to be okay. The other person in the car was not hurt.

Police are investigating the incident.
