WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) – A man is in custody after a stabbing Thursday night that sent the victim to the hospital.
According to the West Milwaukee Police Department, the incident occurred near W. National Ave. and S. 38th St. around 11:45 p.m.
Police say when they got to the scene, the 28-year-old victim from Milwaukee had stab wounds to his head and neck. He was taken to a local hospital and later released.
The suspect, a 43-year-old man from West Milwaukee, left the scene and went into a nearby apartment. Officers tried to make contact with him but he refused to cooperate. The officers forced the door open and took the suspect into custody without incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
