Lakefront Marathon taking place in Milwaukee, including 'Own the Hoan Challenge'

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Lakefront Marathon will take place Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5, offering a marathon, half marathon, 5K run and walk, and the "Own the Hoan Challenge."

The course includes more than 40% of its route along Lake Michigan, with stretches featuring views of the Milwaukee skyline and shoreline.

The first 10 miles of the marathon and half marathon share the same route. An indoor waiting area will be available near the start to help participants stay warm and dry.
