MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man convicted of killing 19-year-old Sade Robinson last year is ordered to pay more than $90,000 in restitution to Sade's family.

Earlier this year, Maxwell Anderson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for Sade's murder.

On Thursday, October 16, Judge Laura Crivello ordered Anderson to pay Sade's family, which is standard procedure in cases like this.

The restitution was set as follows:

  • $37,960.86 payable to the Victim Crime Compensation Fund
  • $775 payable to Sade's sister, Adrianna Reams
  • $36,583.71 payable to Sade's mother, Sheena Scarbrough
  • $17,576.52 payable to Sade's father, Carlos Robinson

Emotions ran high for Sade's family as the court worked to lock down a final figure.

Anderson appeared virtually as he was moved to an out-of-state facility for security concerns.

Anderson asked if he could hold off paying until after he appeals his conviction.

Judge Crivello declined, saying she's putting the order in today, Oct. 16.

The family's wrongful death civil case against Anderson remains open. The next hearing in that case is scheduled for November 7.
