Menomonee Falls middle school student advances to Scripps National Spelling Bee

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) --  Immanuel Goveas, a 13-year-old student at North Middle School in Menomonee Falls, earned the co-champion title after 20 rounds in the Badger State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 20.

Goveas will compete this summer in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Orlando with top spellers from around the globe. 

Saturday's victory was Goveas' fourth appearance in the Badger State Spelling Bee.
