MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Experience the sounds, culture, and tastes of Mexico at Milwaukee's Mexican Fiesta this weekend.
Preparations are already underway for the big event on the city's lakefront. It was canceled last year because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, it is not just making a return this year, it is coming back bigger than ever.
"We expanded the footprint so we're going to have more structures, like cultural structures around the grounds," marketing coordinator Laura Vazquez said. "We're going to be having more activities and also we're going to be doing more ground stations for hand sanitizer and things we'll want you to feel safe with your family."
Face masks are recommended. Children's Wisconsin, along with the Milwaukee Health Department, will sponsor vaccine clinics this weekend at Mexican Fiesta. Staff from Milwaukee Health Department will administer the vaccines and staff from Children's Wisconsin will be onsite to answer any questions.
CBS 58 and Telemundo Wisconsin are both proud sponsors of Mexican Fiesta.
