MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department told CBS 58 that they transported two people to a local hospital after a fire broke out an assisted living facility near 46th and Hampton Friday, Dec. 12 around 5:15 p.m. 

Firefighters say they had to rescue one person by forcing their way through a door in order to get to them. 

It is unknown at this time the extent of the damage and the condition of the two people that were hurt in the fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation and CBS 58 reached out for more details.
