Nice Labor Day to start September after a wet and cool August
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A collection of student art was put on display for air travelers Monday, July 21.
Mitchell International Airport partnered with the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design for the "MKE Prints" exhibition.
The students created a number of different Milwaukee-themed designs, which are scattered across the airport walls.
Graphic designer and former student Nathan Butler touched on what it feels like for his art to be the first thing travelers see when getting off the plane.
"It's an honor," Butler said. "I am happy to be a part of it and being able to include my stuff, and it is really cool that people will be able to come in and see it when they come in and get the first look at what Milwaukee is."
Some of the student designs feature depictions of the city's lighthouses and a mural of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
You can find the exhibit in Concourse D at Mitchell International Airport.
