Midtown Center hosts job fair put on by the city's Office of Equity and Inclusion

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Folks in Milwaukee had a chance to find a new job on Thursday, Sept. 12.

The Midtown Center hosted a job fair put on by the city's Office of Equity and Inclusion.

Attendees met with employers representing Milwaukee's leading employment sectors, including manufacturing, office, healthcare, tech, retail, and transportation.
Organizers say these events are a creative way to bring immediate job opportunities to residents where they live.

"We really strongly believe that person-to-person contact is really critical. by bringing the employers and employment service agencies into our neighborhood where data shows there's the highest amount of need, we're able to facilitate the person-to-person communicate," said Jason Thomspon, workforce outreach specialist.

If you would rather search for jobs online, the Office of Equity and Inclusion offers support for that as well. This was the office's fifth in person job fair of the year.
