Mild stretch now, snow could be coming late this week

A very quiet and beautiful stretch of weather will continue today into tonight. High pressure moves out tonight and that will usher in more clouds by Wednesday and Thursday. A weak wave could kick up an isolated shower for Opening Day on Thursday, however, it looks like most of us will stay dry. The other big story the next few days will be the warmth that grabs hold of the region. Warmer south winds will send temperatures nearing 60 by tomorrow and Thursday. If we hit 60, it will be our first of 2019, and the first since the day before Halloween.

Changes roll in for the end of the week and over the weekend. A surface area of low pressure sneaks into southeastern Wisconsin pulling in showers by Friday afternoon and evening. Colder air advects behind the storm system allowing for a mix and snow to develop on Friday night and Saturday. A slushy light accumulation will be possible. We’ll keep an eye on it!
