According to a press release, Raquel Filmanowicz is being named the Chief Executive Officer. She will oversee and guide the committee's fundraising campaigns and venue organization plans. Filmanowicz currently serves as the chair of the board of directors of Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee.
Paula Penebaker will serve as the Chief Operating Officer. Penebaker currently serves on the board for Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.
This comes after two people were fired from the Milwaukee 2020 DNC Host Committee after accusations they enabled a toxic work environment.
The DNC will take place in Milwaukee July 13-16.
