Milwaukee-area neighbors helping neighbors after recent flooding

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Several Milwaukee-area organizations are offering support to neighbors after recent flooding.

Live Laugh Loaves MKE is hosting a "frummage sale," described as a rummage sale where everything is free. Items include furniture, kitchenware, home décor and electronics. The group continues to accept donations Friday, Aug. 22. It will be set up at Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church starting at 9 a.m. Pickups are scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday and again from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Big Deal Burgers and Custard in West Allis, which sustained flood damage, will give away free single-scoop vanilla cake cones from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Deli in West Allis also posted on Facebook about a "pay it forward" board, where each note represents a sandwich purchased in advance for flood victims.
