Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy announces leadership shift and facility expansion 🩰
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy is undergoing significant changes including a comprehensive overhaul of its Riverpoint Village branch in Fox Point and a change in leadership.
The expansion project, led by newly appointed Director, Kristin Dimmer will include a new studio and improved community spaces, aiming to extend class offerings and its reach in the area.
Dimmer previously served as General Manager before being promoted to the role of Director, the first to take on this role since the retirement of Rolando Yanes in 2020. Dimmer's tenure will see her manage curriculum, daily logistics, operations and staff, with the immediate major task being the expansion of the Riverpoint Village branch.
The expansion will almost double the facility's square footage from 3,500 to 6,700 square feet. It will feature an enlarged studio, lounges, additional changing rooms and restrooms.
The project is set to commence in August, with completion expected before the winter holidays. This development will allow MBSA to accommodate more students, including adults, in the Riverpoint Village shopping center location.
