'Milwaukee Bucks' Pride Celebration' taking place on Jan. 25 at Fiserv Forum

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks are set to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in Wisconsin during a Pride Celebration at Fiserv Forum.

Pride Celebration is set to take place when the Bucks host the Denver Nuggets at Fiserv on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m.

The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a Pride beanie, presented by the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. The team is also offering a Pride Night ticket package that includes a pride scarf alongside a ticket to the game.

Throughout the game, the team plans to showcase videos that celebrate pride within the Milwaukee community, including safe spaces, people and organizations that welcome and support people of all identities. At halftime, drag performers from the greater Milwaukee community will be featured in a performance.

There will also be a "Pride Small Business Marketplace" set up with tables outside of sections 202, 204 and 228. The marketplace will feature local LGBTQIA+-owned businesses as well as participation from resource groups such as the LGBT Resource Center, Pathfinders and Milwaukee Pride.

After the game, celebrations are scheduled to continue with a postgame celebration at The MECCA from 9 - 11 p.m. The event will be free and open to the public with drink specials and live music from DJ Boyfrrriend.
