MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks and Hoop It Up have announced a three-day 3x3 basketball tournament to be held in the Deer District from Friday, Aug. 16, to Sunday, Aug. 18.
This will be the tour's return to the city after more than a decade.
Hoop It Up offers a venue for a variety of players to compete, from kids aged 8 to 18 in recreational divisions to adults across all skill levels. The highlight of the event, a 3x3 Pro-Am tournament, offers the winning team a $1,000 travel stipend for the national championship in Denver.
Also scheduled is a slam dunk contest and a three-point shootout.
Teams interested in joining the competition are invited to register, with slots available for three to five players per team. Registration is scheduled to be open until the tournament begins on Aug. 16.
