MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers celebrated the start of the 2023 Major League Baseball season with the 2nd Annual 'Brewers Eve Bash' at American Family Field.
The Brewers play against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Thursday, March 30.
The party featured a sneak peek at the new J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard, including food and beer sampling.
Barrel Yard will feature a rotation of unique brews, exclusive to American Family Field. The restaurant and working brewery will officially be open for the season's home opener on Monday, April 3.
Brewers Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers signed autographs and served as a celebrity bartender alongside Brewers Wall of Honor member Jim Gantner and two-time All-Star Larry Hisle.
"I think there's always such excitement for the start of the season, you know, everything is brand new, you smell it in the air, you feel it, it's just everybody is happy to be back," Brewers Senior Director of Business Communications Leslie Stachowiak said.
American Family Field updated the sound system and lighting during the offseason.
There are a limited number of tickets available for the Brewers season home opener on Monday.
