Milwaukee County Parks looking to hire 99 extra lifeguards

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Parks Department is accepting applications for hundreds of seasonal summer positions including 99 lifeguard jobs at beaches, pools, and water parks. 

Candidates don't need to sign up ahead of time and can attend any of the free training sessions at Noyes Pool or Pulaski Pool. No experience is necessary. 

Applicants must be at least 16 years old by July 2019, able to swim 100 meters in less than 1 minute 45 seconds and be in good physical condition. The pay for lifeguards starts at $10.57 an hour. 

Upcoming training sessions include:

Session 5A: Noyes Pool (8235 W. Good Hope Rd) Mondays and Wednesdays
7-9pm April 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, and 24 Test: Saturday, April 27 7am

Session 5B: Pulaski Pool (2701 S. 16th Street) Monday- Thursday
10am- 1pm April 15, 16, 17, and 18 Test: Saturday, April 27 7am

Session 5C: Pulaski Pool (2701 S. 16th Street) Monday- Thursday
10am- 1pm April 22, 23, 24, and 25 Test: Saturday, April 27 7am

Session 6: Pulaski Pool (2701 S. 16th Street) Tuesdays and Thursdays
7-9pm April 30, May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16 Test: Saturday, May 18 7am
