MCSO: Shots fired investigation shuts down I-43 southbound near Good Hope Road

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, there was a non-fatal shooting that happened in the southbound lanes on I-43 north of Silver Spring Drive around 8:15 p.m. 

No injuries were reported. 

I-43 southbound traffic was diverted at Good Hope Road while the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office investigated.  

A CBS 58 crew saw deputies with a van pulled over at a gas station near Capitol Drive off I-43. The van had damage to the driver's side window. A woman told CBS 58 she was driving on the interstate when she believes she was shot at. 

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office did not release any suspect information. Anyone with information is asked to contact Milwaukee County dispatch at (414) 278-4788 or submit an anonymous tip via the MCSO Mobile App.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of shots fired on I-43 Sunday evening, Oct. 27. 

Around 8:15, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) reported that the southbound lanes of I-43 at Good Hope Road were closed for due to a law enforcement incident.

The MCSO says more information will be forthcoming.
