MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) marks their 50th anniversary this year, and what better way to celebrate than with a fashion show?!

Third Street Market Hall in downtown Milwaukee hosted the first ever MCTS Fashion Show to help promote the launch of their new merchandise store.

Officials say their goal was to represent Milwaukee County through their design and color schemes.

The show included a number of different items such as shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, tote bags, and even featured some employees who volunteered as runway models.

We asked Anna Schryver, the communications manager at MCTS, what inspired the new clothing launch.

"A lot of it came from our employees. Our Employees are always asking for merch, and so this is a way for them to easily purchase it. In addition, we get a lot of requests from people," said Schryver. "Why don't you have any swag, for us and things that are new and different?" They always want ideas, we got new stuff coming out today, but all the time we are going to introduce new products."
