Milwaukee Dancing Grannies to perform in parade for 1st time since Waukesha tragedy

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Dancing Grannies announced some positive news to start the new year.

The group says they are practicing and preparing to be part of the St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Milwaukee on March 12.

This will be the first parade the grannies perform in following a great loss in November of 2021. Three grannies and one of their husbands were all killed at the Waukesha Christmas parade.

"As this will be a difficult parade it will be exciting. There may be tears through our smiles," the grannies said in a Facebook post.

The Facebook post goes on to say, "We have been through a lot but we did not break."
