MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee families came out to Lakefront Brewery Sunday, Feb. 11 for more than just great beer, they also donated diapers.
Milwaukee Diaper Mission and Lakefront Brewery teamed up for their second annual diaper drive.
There was even a special appearance by the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile.
Megan Johnson, the founder and executive director of the Milwaukee Diaper Mission says many Milwaukee families are struggling to buy diapers.
"I think with inflation, also the end of covid benefits families are struggling even more than they ever have. We know that food pantries are seeing record attendance - and we support food pantries with diapers and period supplies so that's how we understand the need in our community," said Johnson.
Johnson tells us they give out diapers to Milwaukee families every month and so far, they've distributed about 1.5 million.
