Politicians across nation react to Tom Tiffany’s emergency plane landing
CBS 58 WAUSAU, Wis. (CBS 58) — Politicians across the United States are reacting to the news of Tom Tiffany’s emergency plane landing.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, who is running against Tiffany in the governor’s race, spoke to CBS 58 on Sunday.
“I want to say thank god they are all safe, and hope for a speedy recovery. Thank you to that pilot for what they did, making that landing within the water, but also thankful for the first responders, Crowley said. “I look forward to seeing Congressman Tom Tiffany on the campaign trail. I did give him a call this morning to make sure that I was sharing that thinking of him, and sending my prayers, and thinking of him and his wife and hoping for a speedy recovery.”
Tiffany is running for governor on the Republican ticket in Wisconsin and has been endorsed by President Donald Trump. Senators, governors, and elected officials are sharing their well wishes.
At a press conference on Sunday, Tiffany said he plans to return to the campaign trail. Election Day is November 3.
