Milwaukee Diaper Mission reaches 2 million diapers distributed
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Diaper Mission has announced a distribution milestone by reaching 2 million diapers being given to families in need.
Founder and Executive Director Meagan Johnson announced the accomplishment in a Tuesday, July 30 letter, highlighting the organization's growth.
She noted that it took three years to distribute the first million diapers, but only one year to reach the second million. The milestone diaper was provided to the Jewish Community Pantry.
The organization will celebrate this achievement with a special drive-through community distribution event sponsored by Quad, scheduled for next month.
Johnson added a message of gratitude to the people of Milwaukee for supporting the cause of the Milwaukee Diaper Mission, saying, "Our mission to end diaper need and period poverty in Milwaukee is far from over. As we start on the road to three million and beyond, we are so grateful to have you on this journey with us."
