Update: Body pulled from river near 16th and Canal Streets identified as missing MCTS employee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Authorities have identified the body pulled from the Menomonee River on Sunday, April 12, as 56-year-old Jerry Wasielewski -- a Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) employee who'd been missing for weeks.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Authorities recovered a body from the Menomonee River Sunday evening, April 12.
The Milwaukee Police Department responded to the scene near 16th and Canal Streets around 6:40 p.m., and a Milwaukee Fire Department dive team recovered the body of a 56-year-old man.
Officials are not naming the deceased until family is notified.
