Milwaukee man accused of leading officers on chase with 2 children in car

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 29-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle with two young kids in the car.
Branden Bentley faces five felonies, including three counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Last Wednesday, Aug. 27, police said he took off from an attempted traffic stop, driving nearly 80 miles an hour through city streets while disregarding stop signs, driving on sidewalks, and in the wrong way direction of traffic for more than four miles.
When the chase finally ended, near 45th and Olive, the criminal complaint says Bentley "actively resisted" and was tazed.
Officers then found a 7-year-old and an 11-year-old in the car.
Court records show Bentley's bond was set at $10,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9.
