MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man has been charged with sexual assault and armed robbery of a Marquette University student.

The assault happened Feb. 18 near 14th Street and Kilbourn Avenue.

According to a criminal complaint, the 20-year-old victim said she was walking home around 1:40 a.m. and noticed a subject following her, later identified as 34-year-old Tedrick Boone.

The victim told investigators, per the complaint, Boone followed her into an alley, confronted her and displayed a silver handgun. He reportedly told the victim, "If you say anything, I am going to pull the trigger."

According to the criminal complaint, Boone sexually assaulted the victim and then demanded her cellphone.

The victim gave Boone her cellphone and reportedly saw another person in the distance and started screaming. Boone then fled the area.

The victim returned to her residence and called 911. She was transported to Aurora Sinai Medical Center where a SANE examination was conducted.

According to the criminal complaint, Boone's DNA was linked to the SANE kit.

On Feb. 26, authorities found Boone near a homeless shelter on 14th and Vliet. He attempted to run away from police but was ultimately arrested.

During an interview, Boone allegedly stated he had no idea why he was under arrest and never had any contact with any girls who attend Marquette. However, Boone's phone search history showed -- according to the complaint -- he had searched "Marquette student raped" at least a dozen times.

Boone has been charged with one count of first degree sexual assault and one count of armed robbery.

He's due in court Tuesday, March 3 for an initial appearance.

This isn't the first time Boone has been charged with sexual assault. Boone was charged with two counts of fourth degree sexual assault after authorities say he inappropriately touched women on two different occasions, once in 2018 and another time in 2019.
